The portable app is not working on Windows 7?

Not all portable programs and games in the catalog can run under Windows 7. The reason is the later release of Thinapp version that supports compatibility with Windows 7.
The next question is:
  • How do I know what programs to download that will run on 7??

Programs and games labeled "Compatible with Windows7" has been tried and work fully under the control of the new OS of Microsoft (and in XP and Vista of course).
Here's what to look for:

A portable application (portable app) is a computer software program that runs from a removable storage device such as a USB flash drive, portable hard drive, flash card, or CD-ROM drive. Portable applications can be run on any computer system with which they are compatible but typically require a specific operating system such as Microsoft Windows XP or above. Portable software is typically designed to be able to store its configuration information and data on the storage media containing its program files and when you unplug the device, none of your personal data is left behind.

Error: d3dx9_xx.dll Not Found

If you get d3dx9_xx.dll Error Messages, for example:

"Unable to load DLL - dx3dx9_xx.dll"
"D3DX9_xx.DLL Not Found"
"D3dx9_xx.dll not found. Reinstalling might help fix this."
"File d3dx9_xx.dll not found"
"The file d3dx9_xx.dll is missing"



Install the latest version of DirectX or update with DirectX Web Installer (286Kb).

Or search the missing dll in Google or http://www.dll-files.com/ and copy it to C:\Windows\System32 .
